Oops liked your post twice, which shows my age and why I liked the scene with the song MacArther Park. I know all the words having been forced to listen to all ten minutes of that horrific song on the radio in my car waiting for a good song. What a fun movie.
fear not, all of your concerns are addressed in my ten year plan to not only have a career as a hollywood filmmaker but to revitalize the entire industry by remaking it in my image. you will get the call when needed then
also, i'm a gay millennial so i do think several more of tim burtons pictures are good than you (when i was still in diapers i would watch batman 1989 over and over and over on vhs and i can basically quote batman returns, beetlejuice, and pee wee's big adventure from memory; and i also think ed wood is undeniably fantastic) but i don't take umbrage at the notion that he might be entirely untalented and those might be due to the naivete of youth. but my point is i would give ed wood a shot!
i am totally open this. i also watched batman on repeat but it didn’t stick with me like mr. juice. i honestly think a lot of my ire comes from big eyes which contemporaneously made me so bored i started on a warpath and can’t get off
rewatched BJ1 last night and have been wondering all day what the deal has been with burton for the last 30+ years, eventually also landed on “oh, he sucks” as the only logical answer
live action jasmine AND belle are famously female engineers. lydia deetz’s daughter dresses up as marie curie for halloween because it’s tragic that marie curie was so smart but that her research was killing her. here we have a tragedy porn take on the women in stem angle. more notably in this film jenna ortega is woke and going to protests. though all these things get jumbled and lost, because the most important part of the character is of course that she loves halloween

i am sincerely overjoyed you liked it so much
"justin theroux as rory" character poster is better than the film itself
no exactly
Are you a Big Picture listener? You remind me of Amanda Dobbins, but like, if she wasn’t employed by Spotify.
i’m not, but i wish i were employed by spotify
The American dream!
Thoughts on gripes that "in a sequel to a movie starring Alec Baldwin, there is a character whose death was caused by a live weapon on a film set"?
i didn’t even clock this because i forgot alec baldwin killed someone
this made me giggle

i never want it to be true but that is what the evidence says
I find that a lot of these reboots and legacy sequels have a newly defined woman in STEM angle... curious to know if that is applicable here

if i remember anything about tim burtons dumbo it’s that nico parker was a woman in stem
i honestly don’t even remember that, all i remember is that colin farrell was missing an arm
